Now that it's getting colder I switched from smoothie bowls to oatmeal for breakfast, but today I decided to make this creamy, sweet and absolutely delicious bowl and I didn't regret it! It's refined sugar free and made with my date caramel sauce which is absolutely addictive you have to try it even if you don't try this recipe (but why wouldn't you?).

For 1 small serving (300 kcal)

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 50 g frozen mango

  • 10 g protein powder (I used the vanilla one from Orangefit it's a dutch brand and it's not that bad but honestly I wouldn't recommend it)

  • 5-30 ml water (depending on your blender)

  • 1-1 1/2 tbsp of date caramel (read the recipe here)

  • some oats, chia seeds and peanuts to put on top (optional)

Directions:

This recipe is really easy: to make the smoothie bowl put your banana, mango and protein powder in a blender and blend it until it's smooth. You might need to add water if your blender is not the best (I definitely had to) but make sure you don't add too much because it will ruin the consistency. Pour your mixture into a bowl and swirl in the date caramel and add your favorite toppings (I used oats, chia seeds and peanuts, but feel free to add whatever you prefer).
