Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with putting bananas in your smoothie, actually, the opposite is true; I do it all the time because they make the smoothie more creamy, filling and delicious. However recently I wasn't able to find bananas at the supermarket, so today I decided to create a smoothie bowl without them and let me tell you, it turned out so good, you guys have to try it! It's super creamy and delicious and honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell that it doesn't have any bananas in it!

For 1 bowl
Ingredients:
3/4 cup frozen mangos
3-4 frozen strawberries
a small handful of cashews (around 5-10 whole cashew nuts)
1- 1 1/2 tbsp frozen chestnut pure* (see notes)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup plant-based milk (I used vanilla soy milk but feel free to use what you have at home, or even water)
Toppings: 1 tbsp tahini, chia seeds, cacao nibs, a handful of my homemade granola
Directions:
Start with cutting the mangos and strawberries into smaller pieces, so they can blend more easily. If that's ready first put the cashews and milk in the blender and blend until a smooth paste forms. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until it reaches your desired consistency. You can also make it into a drinkable smoothie by adding more plant milk or water (this way it's more like a snack because you don't add the toppings, but it's still really creamy and delicious). Pour it in your favorite bowl and top with the tahini, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and granola, or any other toppings of your choice.
Notes:
*In Hungary we have a thing called 'gesztenyepüré', which is basically cooked chestnuts and sugar blended together and it usually comes in frozen "blocks". However, when I was living in the Netherlands I wasn't able to find it anywhere, so it might only be a Hungarian thing. If you don't have this in your country that's completely fine too, it just makes the smoothie bowl more creamy, so you can add more cashews, peanut butter, or maybe even vegan protein powder instead of the chestnut paste.
