Apple Pie Pancakes (vegan)

Yes, you read it right, you can make pancakes taste like apple pie and it's not even hard to do! I created this recipe when I didn't have an oven, so the main way of making sweets was making pancakes. These pancakes are easy, budget friendly and perfect for people who don't have an oven but still want to enjoy apple pie.

For 2 big portions


Ingredients:


For the pancakes

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1 tbsp of sugar

  • 1 tsp of baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • a splash of soy milk

  • water

For the apple pie topping

  • 1 big apple

  • 2 tbsp of sugar

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp of vegan butter/margarine

  • water

Directions:


To make the apple pie topping cut the apple into small cubes and cook them in a small pan with some water, vegan butter, cinnamon and sugar until they are soft. Now put this aside and make the pancakes!

For the pancakes combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, then add as much soy milk and water as needed for the consistency you want.

Cook your pancakes on medium heat until both sides are golden-brownish and serve them with the apple pie topping.
